Money Making Apps

There are so many apps in the iTunes or Google Play App Stores but I have some favorites! I love to find apps that now only entertain but give free stuff for my time.  My latest obsession is ShopKick....

Shopkick gives you points for visiting some of your favorite stores, scanning items in those stores and making purchases with a registered credit card.  I'm really cautious about sharing my credit card after the big Target breach so I haven't benefited from that portion but my kids and I are some scanning and store visiting fools LOL! You accumulate points that can redeemed in the form of gift cards from places like Target, Starbucks, Macy's and items like headphone, iPads and even charitable donations. This app should be on your cellphone so when you run to Walmart for a loaf of bread or Old Navy for that big sale you can earn too! Referring friends also put extra points in your bank so be a gem and use my referral link when you join  http://app.shopkick.com/wr2/colorado23592

Ibotta is next up on my must have apps. This app pays you, Yes it pays you for the purchases you make.  The app will give you stores in your area and items that offer rebates. When you purchase these items you earn money. It only takes $5 of accumulation to send to your paypal account or you can choice to redeem in gift cards also. Simply purchase the item and when you get home verify it on the app by scanning the bar code and submitting a copy of your store receipt with your phones camera. That simple.  Referring friends on this app also boost your totals so use my link and you get $ and I will too... https://ibotta.com/register?friend=abqryy

Viggle is an app I have posted about before and I still use it everyday! This app gives you points for watching television shows. The points from this app can also be used to get gift cards, discounts on entertainment, food and gifts and for merchandise like iPods, headphones and company merchandise. They have updated their app so my previous video is the old version but the video still shows you how to use the app. Google Plus  or iTunes

Here's Part 1 and Part 2 of my Viggle Tutorial using the previous version. The app has since updated and instead of being able to do multiple shows in one hour you will only do one show an hour. It is still a great app with rewards for doing what you normally do for free....

Do you have some fun money making or money saving apps? Share them with me...

Embracing a New Chapter: Adventures of a New Grandmother at 50!

As the winds of change blow through my life, I find myself standing at the threshold of a thrilling new chapter: grandmotherhood! Yes, you read that right—I recently celebrated my 50th birthday, and to add an extra sprinkle of joy, my youngest son and his partner are expecting their first child. Cue the confetti and baby giggles! It's been over two decades since I last cradled a newborn in my arms, and the prospect of becoming a grandmother fills me with an indescribable mix of excitement, nostalgia, and a touch of apprehension. While I'm overjoyed at the prospect of cuddling a little bundle of joy again, there's no denying that navigating this new role comes with its own set of challenges and adventures. Balancing the excitement of impending grandmotherhood with the reality of supporting my adult children through this life-changing journey is a delicate dance. From offering sage advice and sharing in their joy to resisting the urge to overwhelm them with too much "h...

Embracing Grace: A Journey to Natural Gray Hair

As the wind blows, so too does the passage of time, marking the transitions in our lives. One such transition that many individuals face is the emergence of gray hair. It's a journey that goes beyond just the physical changes; it's a journey of self-acceptance, confidence, and embracing the natural beauty that comes with age. For me, this journey began when I turned 50 in December 2023. It was a milestone birthday, and I decided it was time to bid farewell to the routine of hair dyeing and embrace the authenticity of my graying locks. Little did I know, this decision would spark a profound transformation, not just in my appearance, but in my outlook on aging. However, my decision to let my gray hair shine wasn't met with unanimous applause. I encountered a barrage of negative feedback, with many projecting their own insecurities onto me, expressing concerns about looking older. Yet, amidst the sea of doubt, one unwavering beacon of support stood by my side – my husband. H...

Wisdom at any age?

It is very easy to dismiss information or advice from someone younger and I am guilty of doing just that.  I normally lean towards wisdom coming with age and experience but I have recently confronted myself with the notion that my age discrimination needed to be a thing of the past. I had overcame it in the area of natural hair but that was about it. However my eyes opened to the children not only being our future but our present when I stumbled on the YouTube channel called  "HeyFranHey" . I was browsing the tube for videos to inspire me with maybe a new hairstyle, technique or maybe even make me laugh and i stumbled upon her channel.  I normally look for videos that have people who have the same hair texture as my daughter or myself, she didn't but something drew me to watch.  The first video introduced herself and what she planned for the channel and I was intrigued.  She was vegetarian (vegan ...
